The J. Michael Bernard Memorial Scholarship for Advanced Manufacturing Careers is providing direct financial support to students pursuing careers in advanced manufacturing, engineering, and skilled trades.
25 scholarships will be awarded annually, for students entering or advancing within technical education. Scholarships can be used for tuition, books, fees, and other costs, such as transportation and tools for trades.
Who Can Apply
The J. Michael Bernard Memorial Scholarship for Advanced Manufacturing Careers is open to high school seniors pursuing education and training in advanced manufacturing and technical career pathways.
Eligible applicants include high school seniors who will be enrolled in technical schools, community colleges, universities, or seeking skilled trade certifications.

The Foundation will build on the proven success of LIFT programs such as:
IGNITE Mastering Manufacturing® – a three-year, competency-based curriculum introducing students to materials science, advanced manufacturing systems, and capstone industry projects.
LIFT Learning Lab an immersive training environment offering hands-on instruction in CNC machining, welding, robotics, and industrial maintenance.
Operation Next® a high-impact credentialing program providing transitioning service members with industry-recognized manufacturing certifications.
Together, these initiatives—and the new scholarship program—will help inspire and empower the next generation of innovators, engineers, and manufacturers who will shape the future of American industry.
